The main source for this writing is a Wikipedia,
The Free Encyclopedia, article posting, entitled, Malaysia
Airlines Flight 370. It contains a complete time line and event summary pertaining to the
investigation surrounding the disappearance of Malaysia Air Flight 370. I will attempt to summarize
this article and expound on what I believe has happened, and explain the approximately area where I
believe this aircraft is currently located, based on information listed in the Wikipedia article
and other sources.
I strongly recommend that after reading my summary and theoretical conclusion that you click on this
link, which is repeated again at the bottom of this page, to glean what wasn't fully explained, or
omitted, in the evening news, as it was aired in the US.
The first sign of trouble was the ceasing of communications and the loss of a transponder signal,
both seemingly deliberately turned off. When flight 370 didn't appear on their radar, or contact
Vietnamese Air Control, they (VAC) asked another flight to contact 370, which they did, but only
received "Mumbling" & static in response. To my knowledge this response wasn't ever clearly
reported in the US news.
So far the most suspicious part of the disappearance of Flight 370 is the fact that it contained,
as passengers, two Iranian men with stolen European passports. The way in which Flight 370 went
"Blind" & "Deaf" suggests a hijacking. In particular the mumbled response
to a distress check from another flight. This is indicative that the flight deck crew may have
attempted to respond, but were physically prevented from doing so.
In a divergence from the original Wikipedia article, I'd like to quote a March 16th article in
"The Times of Israel", in which the former head of security for El Al airlines believes
Iran is responsible for "Hijacking"flight 370. Below is a link to that article.
There are several facts in this case that make me also believe that Flight 370 was hijacked. The
Iranians with stolen passports, the mumbled radio responses, plus, early on it was reported that
a large jet flew low over the island home of the parents of one of the flight crew. I believe
this could have been done at the direction of the hijackers, to show the crew members that
"We Know Where They Live", thus threatening the safety of the crew's families, as well
as everyone onboard the aircraft. I believe in this manner the hijackers were able to coerce the
crew into doing exactly as they were told, so the pilot and 1st officer were at the controls
the whole time.
Another issue I find troubling, is the seemingly wrong direction the search has taken. There are
several things which could have gone wrong here. First the method used to determine the direction
the plane took, IE, north or south. To begin with, it was determined by the Doppler effect,
to indicate the direction of travel, is this really that accurate, or was this a costly mistake.
Also because of the "Double Talk" coming from the Malaysian officials could there have been some
kind of intimidation at this level from Iranian agents? Thus sending the searchers on a wild goose
chase. It's also possible that Iran took some kind of "Counter Measures" to confuse the satellite
communications, directing the searchers in the
No matter what the answers to these questions are. There is still one
thing which points squarely at Iran, the distance, & the length of
time it takes to get there. It's 3907.38 miles from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia To
Tehran, Iran. At 542 Mph, which was the speed of the aircraft when
communications were lost, it takes 7.2 Hours (7 hours, 12 minutes) to fly that distance,
almost exactly the total time flight 370 continued to generate pings to
the Inmarsat-3 F1 satellite, 7 Hours, 29 minutes until the last partial,
handshake ping at 8:11, March 8, MYT, about an extra 20 minutes of travel, just
about right to account for the double back route flight 370 took.
The last confirmed heading, via satellite link was in a north
westerly direction, over the Indian Ocean, exactly the direction it would
take to fly to Iran (see map link below).
